Beach walk in Winter | Ireland Chauffeur Travel

Visit Ireland during the Winter to experience a festive feeling with a frosty chill in the air and sometimes even a little snow. Late October, November and December see highs of 50°F / 10°C and average lows of 32°F / 0°C. January sees average highs of 7°C/44°F and lows of 3°C/32°F.

Ireland sees less crowds in popular touring destinations and national parks during the Winter so it is a great time to dust off some cobwebs and explore the great outdoors. The lack of crowds makes for more tranquil walks along the beach and a better chance to view some stunning backdrops. What to pack?

We recommend warm, heavy clothing like jumpers and coats. Raingear like rain jackets, umbrellas, hats, gloves and scarves along with waterproof boots or shoes (especially if you’re hiking or completing a walking trail) are a must. As the weather is so unpredictable, a pair of sunglasses may come in handy as well.
