Dónal hails from County Waterford in Ireland’s “Sunny South East”. His background is firmly rooted in traditional Irish folk music. His father and uncles of The Clancy Brothers, brought Irish ballads to a world-wide audience and Dónal followed in their footsteps, bringing a slice of Ireland to all corners of the world through music, story and song. Having lived in New York for over a decade, Dónal settled back in Ireland in 2009. He has since provided traditional music experiences for visitors,
guided tours throughout the country and has been awarded a National Tour Guiding Badge. If you’re looking for the cosiest pub with the finest in traditional music, Dónal is your man! As well as showing off his country’s musical heritage, he is also passionate about the Irish language, history, Irish sport, sightseeing and Irish
