Many of us have spent the last few months self-isolating in our homes dreaming of the places we would love to return to or travel to for the first time.
For many, the abundance of space, rolling green fields, fresh coastal air and the quality of hospitality, makes Ireland an attractive choice when you are trying to escape the hum or urban life.
Can you quarantine in Ireland for 14 days?
Ireland has a list of approved Green List of countries from where tourists can travel with no quarantine requirements. For all those travelling from other areas, this means they are being asked to limit their movements on arrival for 14 days.
This can be done in a hotel, private rental property or in a private home. For many, 14 days relaxing in a beautiful base in Ireland is an attractive idea and we have received a number of enquiries from past clients wishing to do this.
How does quarantine work?
“Quarantining” for 14 days in Ireland means restricting your movements to your immediate surrounds and limiting any interactions with people outside your group during that time.
To facilitate this, we can arrange all aspects of your trip from the moment of arrival in Ireland by private plane or commercial plane or ferry.
The most popular solution for people travelling is to book a luxury private rental property. Our team source these cottages, estate houses and, even, castles in an area that matches your interests with your preferences and the logistics of a two-week stay. This can include, for example, a spacious countryside property with large modern kitchen, indoor gym and spa area, private cinema and estate walks, or a coastal property with access to a private beach and wildlife watching.
For inspiration: check out our list of luxury private rentals here.
We arrange for the property to be fully stocked with everything you need, ensuring you do not need to leave the property or estate. We will also be on call for daily and/or weekly shopping requirements. We have access to a number of properties that are located on the large grounds of a country hotel. This means we can arrange top-class chef’s cooking to be delivered to your door daily.
When you arrive in Ireland, you will be asked to fill out a Public Health Passenger Locator Form and submit it to the relevant authority at the port of entry. We will ensure you have all relevant information. We will then provide you with luxury private transport, ensuring your safe and worry-free arrival at your ‘home from home’. Throughout this time, we are on-call for all your needs and requirements.
Private guided tours
If you are remaining in Ireland past 14 days, you can start to explore other areas of the country with your private Driver Guide from your base or with an itinerary including different hotel properties. Your private Travel Advisor will work with you to design the perfect itinerary.

Attractions such as the Rock of Cashel, National Heritage Park and the National Stud are welcoming guests and have social distancing protocol in place. Smaller, local experiences are also welcoming clients for activities such as kayaking, golf and falconry to distillery tours and organic farm tours.
We can recommend restaurants that are Safety Charter approved so you can continue to sample the delights of Irish cuisine.
